Scarborough AreaAbout Us

The Palace Hill Hotel in Scarborough is over 260 years old!

This Hotel in Scarborough town centre has been fully re-furbished to modern standards whilst retaining the beautiful character of this listed building.  Our en-suite bedrooms are clean and comfortable and we pride our selves on offering a family friendly welcome on your holiday in Scarborough or a short break by the sea in Yorkshires beautiful East Coast.

All the properties along Palace Hill were built in 1763 for the rich merchants of Scarborough, with stables below - many of which are now shops.

In about 1853 some of the properties became the Lord Mayor's Palace, hence all houses became known as Palace Hill from that date.
